Systematic pollution   

Any walking surface (from shoe soles to tyre treads) can be considered an active contamination transfer surface, by movements. During each and every step a person makes and in the case of vehicles rolling over contaminated surfaces and picking up environmental pollution which is kept for a long time and can be spread over a wide area.

Using expensive conventional cleaning methods - without negatively affecting the movement of people and vehicles - no one could be capable of preventing neither the direct nor indirect pollution.

These effects are increasingly appearing in great footfall traffic locations, because the restriction of the movements is not preferred. 

The variety of occurring pollution and the necessity of defence against bringing in the unpredictable environmental pollution hazards - primarily rainfall or snowfall - together are complicating the task of defending further more.

It is even more difficult to respond to the expectations of sustainable cleanliness at distinguished hygienic environments - like food-processing or health care institutions, etc. - because of the strictness of regulations and specific technological constraints.

It means large challenges, if besides reaching the practical and expeditious cleaning abilities we would also like to preserve the dynamics of staff movements.

The rules and related principles of sustainable cleanliness and sanitisation are defined by the type of location- like hospitals - according to the specific utilisation itself.

The sanitisation, microbiological sterilisation and the defence against other pathogens mostly demands the systematic application of increased efficiency purification and changing the combination of disinfectants, simultaneously.

Basic defects 

Unfortunately, the currently preferred floor level purification defends methods only partially or absolutely not prevents the transfer and infiltration of pollutants.  

Doormats, special dirt trapping mats and other brush cleaning devices - although provide some help - they are still only partially effective and become saturated relatively quickly. 

Some semi-automatic wet brush-wheeled preventive scrubber cleaning methods are more effective, however can have application limitations.

Environmental pollution can spread throughout a building and increase exponentially, we can only defend against it with continuous cleaning e.g. in shopping centres, or at most between two cleaning shifts and endure an increasingly dirty environment.

The normal clean-up procedures’ - following everyday pollution - normally extends to all surrounding surfaces. 

In order to restore the original clean surface conditions using a possible combination of dry and damp cleaning methods unfortunately in addition will diminish the surface quality continuously.

Each continuous pollution cycle followed by intensive cleanings methods, can lead to permanent surface damage. In time this will gradually cause a reduction in quality and service life.

Necessity of prevention

In order to achieve and preserve the required hygienic surface environment effectively and efficiently we must utilise the JETMAT® walking surface cleaning and disinfecting system.

One of its principle and essential features is its immediate intervention in stopping dirt spreading and contaminating other areas, caused by movement.

Consequently the goal is the achievement of  sustainable cleanliness, to reach it would require appropriate equipment, which is capable of purifying, cleaning and featuring adaptive parameters across multiple environments without disruption to conventional workplace dynamics and the movements of people and goods due to the fact that the JETMAT® device is fully installed and built into floor level.

Without preventive purification, contamination can spread to surrounding environments and introduce harmful pollution with damaging side-effects to health.

By completing the intensive, deep cleaning shoe sole and tyre tread purification process upon entering a JETMAT® controlled sterile environment all further pollution can be easily prevented.  

If the application of preventive purification methods and related equipment could become more widely used then the requirement for additional cleaning is significantly reduced, mostly in terms of sustainable cleanliness.
